At Home By Myself… With You

I saw this Canadian gem a few weeks ago when I decided to stay in one Saturday. After spending a  few hours reading In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto by Michael Pollan (which is a must read if you have not already) I started scouring the tube for some mind-numbing entertainment. After some searching I stumbled upon the film At Home By Myself… With You. The description sounded cheeky and it starred, in my eyes, two of the most fabulous actors in Canada, Kristen Booth and Aaron Abrams.

The film centers around a young woman who suffers from Agoraphobia, which is the fear of leaving ones house. Kristin plays the young woman, Romy, who not only is an agoraphobe, but also has a fear of kissing, thunderstorms, lobsters and boxes.

The storyline is sweet ; a romance brews between Kristin and Aaron’s character as Romy overcomes her fears one by one.

Here is the trailer – I highly suggest you check it out, for the agoraphobe in all of us.
